Big Boy Bed

Here is a picture of Landon's first nap in his big boy bed! We debated for a long time over whether to put him straight into a twin bed or go with a toddler bed first. I found this one on Craig's list for $30 so we opted for the toddler bed. Landon cried for his "baby bed" for about a half hour before finally falling asleep in his big boy bed. I think he will really like it, but it is going to take some getting used to for all of us!

Kayaking

This past week we took Landon camping in our trailer up in Calaveras County. We rented a kayak and spent the day on Union Lake. It was absolutely gorgeous! We were there from 10:30 in the morning to about 5:00 in the evening and didn't see another person the whole day! This lake is filled with granite islands and so we kayaked from island to island and explored. It was a blast and Landon was thoroughly impressed with getting to ride in the boat all day. He also loved his life jacket which was a pleasant shock for us, since he had to have it on all day! We had a blast exploring and just being able to relax and spend time as a family!
