Our New House!

This is a picture of the front of the house- standing over by the lake.

The house from the Gazebo by the lake.
The lake- complete with a paddle boat and canoe!

The dock by the lake and me with a very pregnant belly!!

We share this lake with 2 other houses- one of which is empty and for sale.

Side View of the house.

This is the backyard view, from standing by the creek.

The creek in our backyard- if you walk across the bridge where Landon is there is another big grassy area with a swing set/playground.
My mom and Larry came out to visit us this past weekend and we were able to take them out to our new house. We didn't get to go inside, but here are some pictures of the land. It is absolutely beautiful out there! The house is in La Grange which is about 30 miles out from Modesto. It is going to definately take some getting used to being so far out in the country. The nearest gas station and grocery store is about 20 minutes away in Waterford. We are excited to enjoy the land and Landon already loves the creek and going out on the lake in the canoe and paddle boat. We are renting and will be able to move in after August 1st. We have until about the end of October to be out of our house now so that gives us some time to do things slowly and not have to rush, since we will have two newborn babies at the time we are trying to move! God has been so good in providing for us and we are excited for this chapter of our lives. I am still planning on being involved in MOPS in Modesto and we will continue to go to our church- those will just have to be our shopping and errand days!

Olivia and Valerie's Room!

Well, here it is! Olivia and Valerie officially have their own room! Too bad they won't really get to experience it, since we are moving about a month after they are born, but I still had to set it up and get it ready for them! Landon helped me build the toy storage and organize toys today and I finally finished painting the letters for their names and put those up! One of the Cabbage patch dolls was mine from childhood and the other one was found at Grandma and Grandpa Parker's house. I bought them matching dresses and am so excited for the girls to play with them! So we are just about ready for them to arrive! I just need a few of the basic things still- I don't have any girly receiving blankets or burp cloths, have started a stash of diapers, but am still going to need a ton more, we are getting settled on clothes- at least for the first 3 months! My friends are throwing me a shower on August 1st, which I am very excited for! Things are coming along and as of right now I have a scheduled C-section for August 18th. At yesterday's appointment with the perinatologist he suggest we wait another 2 weeks, because they are doing very well- the placenta is still functioning properly, they have plenty of fluid and weigh about 4.5 pounds each! Keep us in your prayers and I will do my best to keep you updated on any progress!

Sprinkler Fun!

Landon and I took a spur of the moment trip to Santa Rosa while Kyle was doing some work for his uncle in Vacaville. We stayed at my dad and Heidi's house and couldn't believe how HOT it was in Santa Rosa. Landon was getting grumpy and restless so we took him outside to play in the sprinklers. This was Landon's first sprinkler experience and he had a ball! He loved it when the water was little and ran away very fast when Grandpa Thomas turned the water on big! We didn't bring his swimsuit and he refused to get his shorts wet, so he went in his underwear! Yes, underwear- he has been potty trained for the most part for the past two months and we are so so so proud of him! Of course there are still accidents here and there, but he is doing very well and loves being a "big boy". He tells us all the time now that the diapers are for his baby sisters and he doesn't need them anymore because he is big! I honestly did not think that we would get him potty trained before the babies were born, but he just decided he was ready and that was that. Actually we ran out of diapers one day and I told him we weren't buying anymore so he had to wear underwear. I couldn't believe he actually went with it and within a week was pretty much going on the potty all the time! I am super excited that I won't have 3 kids in diapers at the same time!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July with our friends the Bejsovecs. They came over and swam in the afternoon then we had a BBQ and ended the evening with fireworks at our house. Kyle and Mark had fun lighting the little fireworks off in the pool on a floating piece of styrofoam. The kids enjoyed the sparklers- even Landon which surprised me. He didn't like the ones with the noises- hence the earmuffs, but he loved the lights and colors! We had a couple bigger ones that we lit off in the front yard and also got to enjoy the neighbors fireworks. The last couple of years we have gone to Ripon for the big firework show, but that was cancelled this year and it actually worked out for the best. It is getting harder for me to get around and do big outings like that, so I enjoyed getting to stay home and enjoy friends and family!

Blueberry Picking

We took Landon blueberry picking at a local farm in Ripon. Landon loved picking the berries right off the bush and eating them! It was extremely hot that day, but we still picked enough berries to have some to eat and make a yummy blueberry pie! They also had an area out front with a little putting range, a sailboat for the kids to climb on and a bounce house. It was an enjoyable morning despite the heat!
