4th of July

We had a great 4th of July with our friends the Bejsovecs. They came over and swam in the afternoon then we had a BBQ and ended the evening with fireworks at our house. Kyle and Mark had fun lighting the little fireworks off in the pool on a floating piece of styrofoam. The kids enjoyed the sparklers- even Landon which surprised me. He didn't like the ones with the noises- hence the earmuffs, but he loved the lights and colors! We had a couple bigger ones that we lit off in the front yard and also got to enjoy the neighbors fireworks. The last couple of years we have gone to Ripon for the big firework show, but that was cancelled this year and it actually worked out for the best. It is getting harder for me to get around and do big outings like that, so I enjoyed getting to stay home and enjoy friends and family!

Blueberry Picking

We took Landon blueberry picking at a local farm in Ripon. Landon loved picking the berries right off the bush and eating them! It was extremely hot that day, but we still picked enough berries to have some to eat and make a yummy blueberry pie! They also had an area out front with a little putting range, a sailboat for the kids to climb on and a bounce house. It was an enjoyable morning despite the heat!

Camping with Grandma and Grandpa Parker

Landon loves to ride his bike around the camp ground.
Helping Daddy rake Pine Needles with the rake Grandma and Grandpa bought him.

Landon's very own camping chair.

Grandma and Grandpa bought Landon binoculars just like Diego!

Singing with Grandma and Grandpa on the big tree stage!

We were blessed to be able to spend a couple of days with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Larry up in Calaveras County. Kyle was working at Timber Trails raking Pine Needles and Landon and I had the days to spend with Grandma and Grandpa who were camping up at Big Trees State Park. Landon loves camping and had a great time. I enjoyed myself as well, but will not be making anymore camping trips until after these babies are born! I was worn out!

Build-A-Bear

This Saturday we took Landon to the Build-A-Bear Factory in the mall to make Teddy Bears for his twin sisters. It was a fun experience and Landon enjoyed shaking and kissing the hearts to put inside the bears and giving them a bath. He then decided which one was for Olivia and which one was for Valerie. He has since slept with them every night and introduced them to his Teddy Bear that mommy and daddy made for him before he was born!

Easter Morning

We went to the Saturday evening Easter service this year to avoid some of the crowds of Easter morning. It turned out very nice because we were able to just sit around and relax Easter morning. Landon was very excited about his Easter basket and loved that the Easter bunny brought him candy! We had a simple breakfast of colored eggs, muffins and fruit and then headed out to the front yard to see what the Easter bunny hid out there! Landon loved the Easter egg hunt and we actually rehid the eggs and did several that day! It was a great Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

The Saturday before Easter we took Landon to Fun Works for an Easter Egg hunt. He got to find 7 eggs and had so much fun! It was a beautiful morning and Kyle and I had so much fun watching Landon get so excited when he found an Easter Egg!

Painting Easter Animals

I found these ceramic Easter animals for Landon and he had so much fun painting them to get ready for Easter. He did a great job and they looked great on our Easter breakfast table!
